The Women's Missionary Society is an organization rooted in African Methodism as far back as 1787. Organized first as the Women's Parent Mite Society in 1874 and as the Women's Home and Foreign Missionary Society in 1895.
Spiritually empowered, these faith-filled, committed women of both organizations of the African Methodist Episcopal Church merged their united efforts and left a legacy that became the Women's Missionary Society.
What Is The W.M.S? The W.M.S. is organized ministry, the emphasis of the Women's Missionary Society finds its roots in the Holy Bible.
